Setting up

Your mobile broadband equipment will consist of either a USB dongle, and a wire to connect the dongle to your computer, and a sim card which you insert in to the dongle.
Or

a USB data stick which just plugs straight in to your PC/laptop,

Ensure the sim has been activated, this may reqire a call to the provider or by entering a pre supplied pin number during installation or may even be pre-activated

Connect the dongle to any available empty USB socket on your PC / laptop

Setting up the the equipment is simple in Windows XP, just plug the USB modem into your computer/laptop and it loads and and configures itself , on completion you are ready to connect to the network.

Mac users will need to load a driver CD but again nothing too taxing even for a technophobe.
